Ski Olympic - Chalet Host & Cookery Course
Led by Gary Yates, our Hotel Manager with over 25 years experience in the ski & hospitality industry, our courses include cookery classes in a professional working kitchen, housekeeping training in our 85 bedded hotel, bar training in our public bar "La Caverne" (inc but optional), and ski technician training in our private ski shop (inc but optional).
Our courses are held in Chalet hotel La Foret for a duration of 7-days (with 1-day off). The programme is designed to develop and nurture the skills required to work in all areas of a chalet and hotel for a ski season.
Your day will start each morning for breakfast and finish after dinner in the evening. Time off will be scheduled throughout the week, so you can relax and explore the surrounding area.
Whether you are interested in working a ski season, or keen to learn about menu planning and budgeting or hosting an amazing dinner party, our course is suitable for and welcoming of everyone.

All food during the course
Transfers to and from either Landry or Bourg St Maurice
Each candidate will take away an official Ski Olympic apron, a "course completion" certificate and sent a link to all handouts, and menus covered throughout your week.
Not included:
Travel to and from either Landry or Bourg St Maurice from your original destination,
Lunch & Dinner on 1 day off.
Course Accommodation:
You will stay in Chalet Hotel La Foret.
Chalet Hotel La Foret was built by Ski Olympic 22 years ago in a traditional Savoyard style of stone and wood. It is a beautiful property with stunning views of the valley and the Bellcote Peak of La Plagne. It is located at the top of Vallandry village, and within easy walking distance of the new gondola lift and various shops and restaurants.
The hotel also offers a spacious lounge area with free wifi and a bar (which will be open each evening to students on the course) with full satellite TV, books and board games to enjoy.
Your shared en-suite twin room (single rooms are available at an additional charge*) contains a TV with British free-view channels. Bed linen and towels will be provided.
*Single room supplement £100pp per course.

Course Prices
£895pp
Should 2 or more individuals book onto a course together, each person will receive a 10% discount, reducing the price to £805.50pp.
A deposit of £250 will be requested on booking, with the remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to your course start date. The price includes a transfer to Hotel La Foret from either Landry or Bourg St Maurice train stations. We advise arriving at these stations between 12:00 and 16:00.
There must be a minimum of 7 candidates per course for it to run. For this reason, as most bookings are individuals, we ask that you delay booking flights until you have received confirmation from us that your course is confirmed. In the rare event of us canceling the course, your deposit is fully refundable, or alternatively you can select another date/course (subject to availability).
