Aspiring skiers with disabilities will be able to make their dream ski holiday in France become a reality since the resort has begun work on the creation of a dedicated adaptive ski area in the Pralong quarter.
Accessibility for disabled skiers and snowboarders is improving around the world, spurred by the rise of events such as the Paralympics in summer 2016. However, a specialised ski area dedicated to users with disabilities is unusual, putting Courchevel at the forefront of this liberating development.
The ‘handski’ area will provide huge opportunity for handicapped mountain lovers, with two specially adapted ski tows, a 6-seater detachable chair lift and handskis accompanied by 12 expert guides.
