Aquamotion Courchevel aquatic centre to open in less than 3 weeks

Work on the new aquatic centre for Courchevel is now in its final stages. Aquamotion will open in early December | Ski Olympic News

Work on the new aquatic centre for Courchevel is now in its final stages, which means the centre will be opening early December.

Aquamotion, the huge water sports centre being built just below Courchevel Moriond, is on track to open in December as planned. The centre has been years in the making, and now visitors will finally be able to see the facilities hidden inside the modern building.

It is well worth a visit after a day on the slopes; the centre has 11 pools, water slides, a wave surf zone, wild rivers, a climbing wall, aqua fitness facilities, sauna, and massage area. There are also dining facilities and kid-friendly zones. Basically everything you could want, whether the easiest way for you to relax is to rest your muscles or get them working some more.

Or, you could always stay in one of our chalets with hot tubs and saunas, and get the masseuse to come to you!

Whatever you decide, Aquamotion will be an unmistakeable feature of Courchevel this ski season and will be a great attraction in the area. Check out the plans for the centre in the below video from 2011, will it match up to what will be unveiled in December?

Other things to look forward to in 2015/16

Those staying in our ski chalets in France for this upcoming ski season have picked a fantastic year to travel, and not just because of the launch of Aquamotion.

Three new ski lifts are set to be completed and ready for the ski season, which will help those skiing in The Three Valleys to explore more of the area and spend less time queuing. One of these will be the St Martin Express ski lift, which you can read more about here.
