Paradise Waits ski video official trailer released
A new ski and snowboard film is coming this autumn, and the epic trailer has already got us talking about the upcoming ski season.
The Teton Gravity Research (TGR) team have produced some amazing films in the past, including Almost Ablaze in 2014. The new film produced by their award-winning filmmaking crew is called Paradise Waits, an apt title for a snowsports movie we think!
The film follows a group of pro skiers and snowboarders as they go through the highs and lows of a ski season in some amazing destinations. Avoiding the more manageable slopes and resorts popular for skiing holidays in France, the group tackled altogether more unchartered territory and unconventional destinations. This included the Sharr Mountains and Restelica in Kosovo, and Kiroro in Japan.
These destinations look amazing and we would love to have a go ourselves, but admittedly you really do have to be one of the best skiers or snowboarders in the world to tackle these steep slopes and tricky jumps. If you’re a fan of Nick McNutt, Angel Collinson or Tim Durtschi, you will know exactly what kinds of slopes they can handle, and you can expect more of this from Paradise Waits.
As the film follows an entire ski season for these guys, who are mic’d up pretty much constantly, we get a real taste of their personalities and experiences. From the funny moments to the times when they’re immersed in the action and you’re so on edge that you’re holding your breath and didn’t even realise, this film showcases what life on skis is like.
The release date for Paradise Waits is set for September 2015 and will premiere in the USA. The film will then be released digitally, and on DVD and Blu-Ray, and there are also plans for a worldwide tour. We’re hoping that the UK will be on their list – at the moment no overseas stops have been announced, but you can keep checking their tours page for new added dates.
