Meribel to offer Wi-Fi hotspots across resort
It’s been confirmed that free Wi-Fi will be offered across the pistes of Meribel this winter, meaning that skiers and snowboarders can communicate from the mountain better than before.
Although the coverage will be offered in selected areas of the resort only, it’s still a fantastic improvement made by the French resort for the season ahead and is sure to be greatly received by those on their ski trips to Meribel this winter.
The Wi-Fi will only be available in selected places; some of the locations include the start of the Altiport chairlift, the summit of the Tougnète chairlift and Saulire Express gondola, the Plan des Mains restaurant and the centre of Meribel. Whether it’s updating the day’s best photos to your social media accounts, or perhaps catching up on some important emails that cannot wait, the new Wi-Fi service will almost certainly be used heavily by both local residents and holidaymakers alike.
Arranged as part of many improvements
The free Wi-Fi is part of a series of improvements being made to the resort for this year, enhancements which include a brand new photo point at the top of the Olympic chairlift, a host of giant picture frames dotted across the resort and a brand new ‘Animal Piste’ for younger mountain users.
The location of the huge picture frames is kept a secret and mountain users are encouraged to find them as they descend the slopes. If you do find one, share it through the Meribel social media accounts and you could win a fantastic prize. Here are links to the Meribel Facebookand Twitter pages.
If you’ve already booked your ski holidays to France this winter and are looking forward to exploring the slopes of Meribel, be sure to take advantage of the free Wi-Fi and show your family and friends at home what they’re missing.
